Sorted Belongings began as a vision during the summer of 2020. I'd been a full time stay-at-home mom for 12 years when life took some drastic turns; a global pandemic, a health scare (I'm fine), divorce (also fine) all leading to the need to go back to work. I'd spent 25+ years in the corporate arena and had zero desire to ever go back to it. To get my working feet wet again, I took a local part time position and found myself doing what I often do - decluttering and better utilizing my new space. This was the inspiration that led me to take my passion for organizing a step further and do what I was truly meant to do - become a PROFESSIONAL ORGANIZER!
The decluttering/organizing bug has been with me since as far back as I can remember. As a child, my room was immaculate; toys, games and dolls neatly in their place. As a teenager, I worked as a grocery checkout clerk and found my favorite part of that job was packing groceries in paper bags! For me, it was like putting a puzzle together - finding how to make every item fit perfectly into each bag. To this day, I still love to bag all my own groceries!
That bug followed me throughout life into adulthood and yes, I've even passed it on to my boys - go me!! Family and friends always complimented me on my detail-oriented organizational skills, wishing they could have a fraction of my "talent". There is truly little greater satisfaction to me then when all my belongings have a place to call "home". So making the decision to share my passion to help others achieve the same feeling was perfect. And so, Sorted Belongings began.
